As a Senior Program Manager at Intermec, he introduced a new hand held computer that was the fastest ramping company product and accounted for $100 million in annual revenues. He successfully developed a computer product that cost $420k to develop and generated $45M in sales in the first year.

At Novametrix Medical Systems as Director of Research, he managed a 28 person research division of sophisticated electronic respiratory care products. He reported directly to the CEO and Chairman and oversaw research, engineering, human resources, accounting and medical manufacturing functions.

At Optiva Corporation as Director of Research and Development, he managed a wide range of design and engineering projects for the high-volume international manufacturer of the Sonicare electronic toothbrush. Bond reported directly to the corporate CEO and effectively administered an annual $2.5 million budget. He actively participated in executive strategic planning and product development programs. Bond also recruited and supervised a 25-person department including 3 managers, 2 project managers and engineers.

Throughout this time up to the present, he has consulted for hundreds of companies on market strategy, strategic planning, business strategy, thermal printing, other printing technologies, automatic identification including bar coding and RFID, medical sensing technologies, and electro-optics. He has been involved in his community as well. He volunteered for Cancer Lifeline and numerous other non-profits. He was on the board of directors of Friends of Youth where he was trained in effective board processes and participated in strategic planning, budget planning and business process improvements.

He received his Ph. D. in Physics from the University of Washington and his certificate as a Project Management Professional from the Project Management Institute.

Bond enjoys the outdoors including skiing, hiking, water sports and biking.
